Years later, he returned to Brazil to learn more about his heritage and was amazed by the amount of color and life in his home country. During that time, he became one of the town's most recognized street artists. In those 4 years, Cadu painted over 100 murals throughout the state of São Paulo. He learned new techniques and collaborated with several other street artists. Although not formally trained, Cadu has educated himself by exposure to the arts and constant sharpening of his artistic skills. Influenced by artists like, OS Gemeos, Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Claude Monet and many other. Cadu has developed his own distinctive style and artistic concept.
